The Laboratory of Architecture and Sustainable Technologies (LAST) of the EPFL is holding an architecture competition from 2 October to 10 December 2018 under the motto “Active Housing”.
The competition revolves around the designing of residential buildings at a real plot in the municipality of Écublens in the canton of Vaud. The presented building projects should, on the one hand, provide high-quality living space with a view to typology and user behaviour and, on the other hand, integrate the concept of “Advanced Active Facades”.
The “Advanced Active Facade” concept was developed as part of the NRP 70 joint project “Next generation photovoltaics”.
All master’s and bachelor’s students studying architecture at the EPFL and the Architectural Association School of Architecture can take part in the competition.
The Swiss National Science Foundation is financing the prizes for the students.
