“Energy and Fiction” – the new edition of the “Energy &” magazine of NRP 70 and 71
The new edition of E&, the magazine of NRP 70 and NRP 71 on current questions in energy research, goes on a journey through time across the energy world and deals with the fine line between fact and fiction.
Hybrid overhead lines: Transporting more power, not more power lines
Hybrid lines increase the capacity of the power grid. Two projects of NRP 70 and 71 have examined how the new technology can be optimised and is accepted by the population.
“Smart urban freight logistics. How we supply the towns of tomorrow – with energy efficiency and CO2-free.”
The brochure describes how the vision of smart urban freight logistics for the year 2050 has been developed and how this can actually be implemented.
Completed research project: Methane for transport and mobility (RMTM)
The completed NRP 70 project is the first time that the main carbon flows in a country have been comprehensively identified and the suitability of certain CO2 sources for the production of synthetic natural gas determined.
Completed research project: Sustainable decentralised power generation
The completed NRP 70 joint project developed a comprehensive and integrated methodology for sustainable, decentralised multi-energy-hub systems at neighbourhood scale.
Completed research project: Trade-offs in switching to renewable electricity
The completed NRP 70 project supports policymakers in deciding how much renewable generation Switzerland should target and where.
Completed research project: Understanding household energy consumption
For energy consumption behaviour to change, different elements must be accounted for together – this is a finding of the completed NRP 71 project.
