Building and settlement

Adaptive building envelopes and intelligent building services engineering are the key to significantly enhanced energy efficiency as regards electricity usage and heating/cooling requirements. New technologies generate considerable efficiency potential in new and existing buildings. In particular, NRP 70 is showing how the potential of mixed building groups, e.g. neighbourhoods or residential areas, can be optimised.
