The programme brochure of the two National Research Programmes "Energy Turnaround" (NRP 70) and "Managing Energy Consumption" (NRP 71) gives an overview of the various research topics.
The Swiss energy system is faced with the dual challenge of implementing Energy Strategy 2050 and achieving climate targets at the same time. The two National Research Programmes run by the SNSF will help to advance research at the ETHs, universities, universities of applied sciences and private research institutes. In total, more than 350 project proposals were submitted. In NRP 70, 84 individual and joint projects were selected for funding; in NRP 71, 19 projects were approved. In the next few years, more than 300 researchers will pursue their ideas and deliver new insights and innovative solutions with regard to the further development of our energy system. The brochure offers an overview of the many research projects of the two National Research Programmes.
